Set yourself a budget and we would advise that you seek independent financial advice to see what is affordable in your current circumstances.
When you find a property you are interested in visit it at different times of the day and different times of the week to get a full understanding on what goes on in the local area – our negotiators all have a thorough knowledge of the areas in which we operate so will be glad to answer any questions.
Have a conveyancer/solicitor in mind, this is often useful even before you have found your dream home– they will need to deal with all the necessary paperwork once you have found the house you want – don’t worry if you don’t know a solicitor – we have a bank of highly regarded legal professionals that we can recommend.
When you find the one you love its make an offer time! – be realistic with your budget and whilst difficult be realistic with your expectations.
If your offer is accepted your lender will most likely insist on a survey of the property to check both its value and its structural suitability – we are able to help you with either a homebuyers report or a building survey.
Once you exchange contracts with the seller you are legally bound to proceed with the purchase – at this point you can also agree a completion date and when you can collect the keys to your new home!
